Huddler is a network of interest-specific product research and review communities. Our goal is to provide an online destination for the most passionate, knowledgeable consumers in all different areas to share what they know and meet others like themselves. At the same time, we want to allow even novice internet users to find info on products they want from people with similar interests.
In the not so distant future, Huddler will be a vibrant group of connected communities, or "Huddles", each with a unique focus. Huddles will be centered on Home Theater products, Digital Photography, Skiing, Parenting and any other interests that you suggest to us. We plan to have more than a dozen by the end of the year. In each of these Huddles, users can:
Our first "Huddle" is focused on Green Products for your home - consumer products that conserve electricity, water, and gas, or in some cases, are just better for the environment. Our goal with this Huddle is to provide a desperately needed resource for people who are interested in purchasing sustainable products, but just don't know what's available, or how to use the products properly.
For those of you already on the right track, please share what you know. A variety of green products and topics are covered, from electric cars and greywater systems, to discussion forums and wikis on local produce and the climate change policies of each of the 2008 presidential candidates.
We’ve worked hard to seed this Huddle with some great product information, a diverse set of wiki articles, and several threads in our discussion forums, but we could use your help fleshing it all out.
Once you register using the email that we sent, you will be taken to your personal homepage. If you'd like to see what a non-registered user would see on their first visit, you can click the "Huddle" tab anytime. We have a lot of great features that will occupy the Huddle tab shortly, but they're not ready for prime-time just yet.
Beyond that, a great introduction to what you can do with the site can be found in our Site Tour and some answers to other common questions can be found in our FAQs.
Additionally, we need your honesty. Positive feedback is encouraging, but negative feedback can be much more useful. If we’re missing products, lacking features, or if anything is unclear, hard to use, or just plain broken, please let us know. There are feedback links at the top right corner of nearly every page. Click there, and you will be directed to our Feedback Forums; you will also be able to send email directly to our support team.
Most importantly, have fun! We're excited about what we've built and can't wait to get it in front of as many users as possible. If you think you can help in any way, let us know - we would appreciate it.
We're excited to hear what you think.
