Thanks for the info. That catalog looks like the older version. The new catalog must represent improvements in the technology. I can see how the high lumens/watt rating without context can be misleading. It has a high lumens/ watt rating compared to incandescent sources but compared to other LED lights it is more of a mid rating. I will edit my post to reflect that. My intention is to show that LED lights aren't what they used to be and offer many advantages over incandescent and even fluorescent lighting.

While the Marexim bulb does not have the highest lumen to watt efficiency it is the best LED light I have used. I've tested the wattage to be between 17 and 18 watts. This is consistent with the manufacturer's stated numbers. The lumen output is 840 lumens and the illuminance is 1500 lux at 1m.
