SMA SUNNY BOY 6000U

An inverter takes the DC power coming from the PV solar panels and converts it to AC power that compatible (in phase and same voltage) with the grid power.

The SMA Sunny Boy 6000U works with solar PV, fuel cell, wind-turbine, hydro-turbine or micro-turbine.

It can be used for utility, commercial, and residential PV installations ranging from 3kW to 6kW and multiple inverters can be used for larger PV plants up to 20kW.

It works with 208, 277 or 240 VAC systems (US residential is 240V). The wide DC input voltage range allows connection to almost any type or model of PV module. It has several modes to maximum energy conversion.

Like other inverters in the Sunny Boy family, the Sunny Boy 6000U has communications accessories for data acquisition that can networked. This allow you to view the the PV systems performance on the Internet.
