PARALDA lead-free air purifier
Paralda from Texas-based Alen Corporation is the first lead-free, Energy Star qualified, ozone safe air purifier ever available in the United States. It is certified green by both the U.S. Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency. It comes in bamboo green or white and uses only 55 watts. Also has a 25-hour programmable timer, UV lamp set to last 3 to 5 years and advanced HEPA filter.

I had the opportunity to be one of the first to try Alen Corporation's new PARALDA certified green air purifiers. It is the only portable air purifier presently on the market in the U.S. that is 100% lead-free. It was quiet and extremely efficient ... and didn't use a lot of electricity - only 55 watts. It is has an Energy Star rating and is RoHS compliant. It's slender and rather skinny .... so I tucked it in my kitchen - and it has been working great on cigarette smoke and cooking odors. Also has a UV lamp to kill bacteria. I want another one soon for my bedroom. Seems to work best in rooms under 400 square feet - I sometimes move it around the house ... good for bedrooms during allergy season - which I dread.
