possibly my favorite dish soap
dana1981 reviewed June 13, 2008 at 5:27 pm

I've tried a bunch of dish soaps recently - Trader Joe's, Biokleen, Dishmate, and now Mrs. Meyers. I think Mrs. Meyers might be my favorite. It works really well, creating a good amount of suds which I think is the most important aspect of a dish soap. I've got the basil scent, which smells quite nice. It's rather strong, but a pleasant smell. My wife - who usually doesn't like the smell of dish soaps - thinks it smells great.

I think the Biokleen has a price advantage over Mrs. Meyers, and both create a very good amount of suds, but Mrs. Meyers may have the scent advantage. It also uses 'natural cleaning agents'. Good stuff.

Wunderbar!

A great dish soap -- just as effective as any conventional dish soap, and it smells great. It is definitely more expensive than Palmolive or something comparable, but I think it's worth it :)

Smells great, very sudsy
Deej reviewed May 7, 2008 at 10:52 am

I'm a recent user of Mrs. Meyers for my hand cleaning needs around the sink and I've been happy. It smells great and is REALLY sudsy even with a small amount.

Also, my mom was at a green trade show thing in Dallas, TX and met Mrs. Meyers there - she was apparently an incredibly friendly, passionate woman who built up a great company herself. I'm all about that.

A solid dish soap
stins reviewed April 4, 2008 at 3:29 pm

I think this is my favorite hand washing dish soap so far. It's not too runny, not too thick. It doesn't create too many suds, but just enough. This may just be my Goldilocks moment with dish soap.

The lavender soap has a pleasant scent and it definitely works well on all my pots and pans. I haven't used it extensively but at first past, it seems pretty gentle on the hands.

Fragrant cleaning fun!
Sheepguy42 reviewed April 22, 2008 at 8:15 pm

I have used this at the natural foods store where I work, and it cleans dishes quite well. Unfortunately it has the same drawback that much of Mrs. Meyer's products have: too much fragrance.

I have found that many people—myself included—discover (or rediscover) a sensitivity to strong scents after switching to all natural cleaning products. While this line may appeal to mainstream customers, I don't see many people buy it more than twice.

On a side note, I like the idea behind Mrs. Meyer's products: one scent for the whole house. I just wish they would only rely on essential oils for this, and not "fragrance" as listed on at least one product.
