I love method products. I think they do a great job and I like how they make their bottles compact and easy to recycle. My only complaint about this product would be that the tops are so messy.

Pros:Smells nice, cleans very well Cons:None so far Purchase Date:April 2008

I was hesitant to try this product because our family has sensitive skin. We'd finally found a product that cleaned well, whose scent we liked, and that didn't irritate anyone's skin. I got a promo bottle of this product recently and decided to try it out.

Despite being a 3x concentrate, the liquid seemed thinner than our other 3x concentrate which worried me slightly. However, when the clothes came out of the washer, they came out perfectly clean and smelling very nice. The scent is lighter than our old product which we quite like. The product leaves the items soft, not rough (we don't use any kind of fabric softener so this is important for us).

I'll continue to use it for a while to see how well it treats our items with prolonged use, but so far it's a keeper.

Pros:Works great, biodegradable, not tested on animals, different scents & sizes available Cons:Expensive, Messy, Method doesn't disclose ingredients (YET) Purchase Date:March 2008 Purchase Price:$16.99

Method hit a home run with me on their laundry detergent. Though I tend to favor Seventh Generation products, I have found Method's detergent to be superior.

Availability: You can find the product relatively easy, Target always has it in stock. The regular scent comes in a blue bottle, unscented (my preference) in a white bottle, and baby formula in the pink bottle. Method packages it in a 32 ounce bottle that will clean 32 average-sized loads or a 64 ounce bottle that yields 64 loads (pricewise, the 64 oz bottle is a better value).

Performance: Method's detergent performs just well as the national brands at cleaning and stain treating. I don't have a HE washer so I cannot comment at HE performance. In my regular washer, I've found it does a comparable job in cold, warm, and hot washes. This is where I feel that Seventh Generation falls short.

Environmental Impact: Because of it's 3x concentrated formulation, the packaging is smaller than a typical bottle of detergent. It is recyclable though I don't believe that the packaging is made of recycled materials (I could be wrong). The ingredients are biodegradable and never tested on animals. Method does not list it's ingredients on the label, though I've read that they will change this in the near future; in the mean time they disclose ingredients at www.methodhome.com.

Room for improvement: Because of it's concentration, the detergent is much thicker than most detergents which can get messy. I find it best to run the cap under stream as the washer fills to rinse it off. You will also find it to be priced at the upper UPPER end of laundry detergents, in terms or price per load.

Pros:smells great, works great Cons:a bit expensive

I was an early adopter with Method products, and now that they have taken over my local Target, my life is just that much better. I like that I don't have to use nearly as much detergent per load with this stuff, and my clothes always come out clean and smelling great. It's slightly more expensive, but I think it's worth it because you don't have to use much.

Wonderful for sensitive skin

My husband has sensitive skin and has no reaction to this detergent. We had been using all free and clear but I'd rather use a more green brand and this fits the bill. Great cleaning power. Even gets out set in stains on my husbands work clothes (he's a waiter). I love the small size which minimizes packaging.

Pros:small, easy to carry Cons:none

I love all Method products, and this is no exception. It's small size makes it easy to carry. I highly recommend the dryer sheets. I didn't realize that other dryer sheet are made with animal fat! Gross! Method wet dryer sheets are the best!
