Works well with older homes...

I needed to replace my older thermostat for my Eichler radiant heating system - it only has two wires for control, so I needed something that would run on batteries, be visible from across the room and be quickly readjustable. This fit the bill perfectly. Now, when I feel cold a glance tells me what the temp is and if the heater is on. Great value for my application.
