Honeywell Digital 5-2 Day Programmable Thermostat (YRTH230B1009)

This system is simple to install and seemingly simple to program. We often notice that it doesn't obey our commands, such as raising and lowering temps at set times. While this has proved to be frustrating, due to our lack of trust it has made us pay more attention to out thermostat and assure ourselves that we are not wasting fuel.

For the price this thermostat is doing the job for me. It took me 15 minutes to install connected to my 20+ year old wall furnace. So far everything works as I have programmed it to do.
The thermostat can be programmed for weekdays as a group and the weekend. Each programming period is subdivided in to 4 periods ie. morning, noon, evening and night. Each period can be programmed to different temperatures. you can override the pre-pogrammed periods and choose more heat in case you are home all day and the pre-grogrammed periods are too low. The override will stay for two hours. The thermostat will return to its programmed state afterwards. Overall a cheap functional thermostat that should earn itself back in a year or two.
