We have a couple of areas where the light switch placement was a great idea until we began using it. Since the pantry and the laundry closet have their doors cover the lightswitch when you open the door, the light is often forgotten, or you have your hands full with food/laundry and can't get the switch. These switch off after five minutes of no activity in the area.
Had bought one initially and it worked for about five minutes then failed. Called customer service and they sent me out another one within several days. The second one as well as the one I bought for the pantry have been working great ever since.
If you screw in a fluorescent bulb, you'll get a nasty flicker and the sensor won't work properly, most likely due to the electronic ballast. Tried an LED bulb in there too, that didn't work, as you need at least a five watt bulb as I recall, and I had a three watt bulb.
Hoping they come up with a solution like this that works with eco-friendly bulbs, since the other ones are to be phased out.
