Great Energy Bar
SoCalSolar reviewed October 27, 2008 at 5:13 pm

I have these from time-to-time and really like them.  My favorite is the "Crunchy Peanut Butter".  They are mostly organic, provided some good protein/energy, heck - and tho they may look kinda funny - they taste really good!

Recommend these!!!

Cliffy Yummy Peanut Buttery.

I used to love snacking on these at work when we sold them in the coffee shop I managed.  They weren't exactly a meal, but they were great for a 'tea time' snack-- when you know you've got class or something, and dinner will be late.  They give a lot of energy, though.  I like the peanut butter ones best!

classic quick meal

I've been eating Clif bars forever -- I'm mainly a Chocolate Brownie fan, but I've tried most other flavors.  I find that, compared with Balance Bars (too chalky), Power Bars (too chewy/sticky), Luna bars (too sweet, and feels unsubstantial), Tiger Milk Bars (too sweet -- feels like candy), etc., these are the ones I prefer for a quick snack or meal replacement (with a banana or something to tide me over).

A second favorite (similar in terms of texture and sweetness) is Odwalla bars, but I think those don't taste as good.  I'm all about the Clifs.

Good Breakfast

My son loves these.  I wanted to find something quick, nutritious and filling and get him off of bagels.  The Clif bars are perfect except they could have a little less sugar.  I'm so happy though with the protein and fiber and nutrients and to have my son off empty calorie bagels.  There are some yummy flavors as well.

Banana Nut is best
nitedreamer reviewed October 14, 2008 at 4:23 pm

I've tried several varieties of Clif bar.  They aren't filling enough to be a meal replacement, but they supplement a modest lunch nicely.  They are very convenient to keep a box in the cupboard for days when you need something you can grab on the go.  Some of the flavors leave an acidic aftertaste, but the Banana Nut (very tasty) and the Carrot Cake (fairly tasty) do not seem to have this problem.  The Oatmeal Raisin is definitely an acid offender, but I will still buy them occasionally because I like the initial taste.

Love/Hate
kiwi reviewed September 30, 2008 at 8:45 pm

I have such a love/hate relationship with Clif Bars.

Both my wife and I find that occasionally they seem to leave an acidic taste in our mouth. There is some concern that eating too much soy is bad for ones health, so if you are worried about that then you might want to skip Clif bars - they definitely have a lot of soy products in them.

That said, they are filling, usually taste pretty good, and are great value.

As you can tell, it's mostly a love relationship.
