About Furnaces
On one hand, heating and cooling your home accounts for almost 60% of your total energy consumption. On the other hand, furnaces are the most common heating system in the United States. Put your hands together and get an energy efficient furnace! In this Huddle, you’ll find furnaces that meet the Energy Star criteria and are 15% more efficient than standard models. That means gas furnaces should have a rating of 90% Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency (AFUE) or greater. Oil furnaces should have a rating of 83% AFUE or greater.
