About Built-In

Even though people are eating out more and washing dishes less, the average dishwasher still gets to do its thing 215 times a year. In this Huddle, we only include those upper crust dishwashers (that don't leave crust on your plates, of course) that are at least 41% more efficient than federal standards and meet Energy Star criteria. That means that standard dishwashers have Energy Factors of 0.65 or greater and compacts have Energy Factors of 0.88 or greater.
