Insight is the next logical step in our commitment as a leading environmental company. This new panel fabric is woven from 100% Ingeo PLA (poly lactic acid) fibers. This product has a natural, almost wool like look and hand. PLA is a brand new, from the ground up development. It is in fact the first NEW fiber classification in over 50 years.

Here are some of the environmental advantages:
1. PLA fibers are made from annually renewable resources such as corn, rice, beets or other starch based agricultural crops.
2. There is significantly less energy needed to manufacture PLA resulting in less greenhouse gases.
3. PLA is compostable under the right moisture and heat conditions, breaking the material back down into lactic acid and creating nutrients for the soil.
4. All PLA fabrics carry the green-e logo, which signifies that 100% of the electricity used to make the product has been matched with Renewable Energy Certificates. This means that the company replaces all the energy used to produce this product with alternative sources such as wind energy.
