Green Power Science makes a solar collector from a satellite dish

Dan Rojas of Green Power Science shows folks an episode of his project of making a solar collector from a used satellite dish.  It's pretty sweet.  The project isn't finished yet, but he promised some new videos once it's finished.

On the link there is a series of photos of him heating things with a large fresnel lense - wow!  I would think some industry could use that process - at home you have to be really careful with it - as it is essentially an open-air blast furnace...

I saw that too! Looks crazy dangerous, but very impressive.
