Up for a challenge?

I came across directions for making your own organic tofu- and it looks like it's probably a pretty easy process.  Sadly, I don't have a lot of time for cooking at the moment, but I thought I would pass the website along to see if anyone else was willing to give it a go.  The writer says:

"I'm an omnivore with slight meatatarian tendencies in nature. But if there's one food that could rival pork belly on the top of my deliciousness list, it would be tofu, oddly enough."

So if you've never tried tofu, it sounds like homemade beats the pants off of store bought anyday.  And cooking it at home also saves on packaging waste!

I'll do it!! Might not be the next few days, but I'm definitely in (all you had to do was call it a challenge - nice work nitedreamer.)  I'll take pics, etc. and hopefully won't make myself or any others sick, hah.

actually, i have this random picture from when i was in china about six years ago of a guy making tofu (who makes it for a living -- took this shot at a farmers' market in chengdu).  see the tofu block under cheesecloth and beneath all of those wooden baskets for weight (to press the water out of it).  :)
