Ugh nasty.  Another example of developed countries exploiting the lax regulations in undeveloped countries.  I hate that sort of thing.

I agree dana- if we don't want it happening here, we shouldn't be allowed to ship it elsewhere.

I personally am not opposed to the use of animal products. I think if we are going to kill an animal that should use every part of it. I know there are some tanneries that use a less toxic method. It can be done, it is just more labor intensive which translates to less profits, but there are companies out there doing it. I'm so glad that it is getting easier to find more ecofriendly products.
