A really inspiring green roof is the ACROS Fukuoka building in Fukuoka City, Japan. I love this building because its green roofs and walls cascade seamlessly into public parkland. Check it out:

I haven't actually read the whole article yet, but basically it's about women in the green movement.
Not to take this photo collection thread in another direction...but it kind of amazes me what a difference we're seeing in the frequency of "green" in the media. I was on the bus to work yesterday and sitting in front of me, one guy was reading an article about a possible fine in San Francisco for failing to recycle/compost. The woman next to him was reading an article about emissions with some headline about Hummer going under. And next to her, a man was reading an article in Time about eco-friendly X Games. I wanted to take a picture...but then I thought that might be weird.
