Alternative Energy User Group presenters -Scott Johnson, Gen-X Energies

 April 2008, at the  Alternative Energy User Group meeting, Scott Johnson, President of Gen-X Energies came and on how his company produces clear biodiesel from animal tallow (chicken fat) they get from Tyson Foods in Wallula, WA for processing in their biodiesel plant in Burbank, WA. His company has made the process sustainable by also getting Methanol from an IC chip plant that was dumping it as an unwanted bi-product.

 What was awesome to see was that they have learned how to not just make biofuel amber-looking, but clear-looking using tallow veersus using canola to make veggie-based biofuel.
