LED - NEED YOUR INPUT

Hello,

My name is Ashley and I am interning with a new company developing LED products that are totally awesome and way more advanced than anything on the market right now - according to our suppliers and investors. Well I am working on developing a marketing campaign geared at college students for our spotlight. The spotlight is more of security light and turns on only when motion is detected. I need more creative and unique ideas as to how common college students might use this light. The light has two settings, it can stay on for 30 seconds or 2 minutes when light is detected. The light can be mounted on a vertical wall or upside-down on a ceiling. It is battery operated and has not external wiring required.   So it is easy to install, it is weatherproof, it produces white light, and is super bright.

Some application thoughts would be great!  I have some ideas already, but I want to make sure that I am getting the right messages across in the end.

Just to the College Student market?   ...ooooo kay

Does it just run on batteries or does it recharge with a solar panel?

> Taking it as a given that it lights up larger areas well enough to be called a "security light", how about mounting it where students park their cars - garages, driveways, common parking areas...

> Light common walk-ways - like external stairs, entry ways, porches...

> Many garages and basements have silly little bulb sockets that really don't light the area well, this LED fixture might be a good supplemental light in these tricky spaces.

Good luck with your program.

The only other thing I could think of is for use on a bed side table so you can just wave your hand and get light in the night to see your watch, glass of water, etc.

Would be terrible if it's too sensitive though and started shining on your for rolling over...
