Personal care products

I am having trouble finding a category for personal care products, yet this is one of the products I am most interested in.  First of all, with all the concerns about chemicals, finding healthy and green personal care products really matters because those are chemicals that actually get used on our bodies! 

Secondly, as someone who tries to be environmentally conscious, I try not to consume a whole lot of things.  Services, food, and personal care products are mostly what I spend money on because they aren't durable goods.  Services are generally green, at least in terms of CO2 emissions per dollar, I buy a lot of local and organic food, but it is hard to find good personal care products that are "green".  Things like shampoo, soap, lotion, mouthwash, toothpaste. 

Can we add a category for personal care?

Hey Makarios - great suggestion, thanks for making it. When we were first starting the 'Green' huddle (which has been no small task, ha) we thought a lot about what products to include and how to make it a manageable data set for both us and our users. The conclusion that we came to was that introducing "organic" into the equation made the number of products more than we were able to handle at the outset: food, clothing, personal care products, etc.

In the end, we decided to limit this first Huddle to products that conserve electricity, water, and gas in the home - then some other logical extensions were introduced - cleaning products for the home, paints, etc.

We are very interested in moving into the personal care products space before too long - do you think it should be a totally separate Huddle (e.g. LiveGreen.huddler.com or something to that effect) that covers those other categories, or should we slowly work them into this one? We just haven't decided yet, but your feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

I think the idea of creating separate huddles for larger categories is a bit worrisome as I would want to learn as much as I could from all users of the site regardless of the huddle they contributed to.  I like the thought of adding a new tier of tabs to the Product Profile section that currently contains: BATHROOM, KITCHEN, HEATING/COOLING, GENERAL HOME, TRANSPORTATION.   Perhaps define these categories further and add tabs for PERSONAL CARE, FOOD, GREEN BUILDING, ect....I'm putting my personal care products in with my showerhead in BATHROOMS which seems a bit off.
